Pasta da Vinci commenced trading in 1997. It was the dream of Mr.
Giovanni Di Sebastiano, the company’s founder. Together with sons
Tony and Marco, and friend Tony Di Guglielmo the dream was realized.
Giovanni saw a major problem with the pasta market in Australia.
Commercialised pasta was nothing like he was used to back in Italy; it
had been modified to enable high volume production.
Giovanni purchased the most modern machinery available and
modified this machinery to once again achieve the pasta he used to love
and enjoy. This took Giovanni and Tony almost two and a half years to
perfect, and thus in late 1999 da Vinci’s first product began to reach
the retail trade.
Although the pasta market was and is a very difficult market, the
belief was that the consumer would appreciate the more authentic
product. This proved to be correct. da
Vinci is now available throughout Australia and Asia and although it has
limited distribution, those who have tried it, have enjoyed it and
continue to return to enjoy the da Vinci experience.
